Giveaways by the government rarely work out for the benefit of the people that they are targeted for. The food stamp giveaway doesn’t help people find employment to provide for themselves. The health care giveaway doesn’t help pay for quality care. Instead many needy wait in long lines for care that is ultimately substandard. The housing subsidy doesn’t allow for people to live where they chose. Instead many live in slums with no hope of getting out.
The reason for all the is simple. The government cannot provide people with what they people really need i.e. upward mobility. Upward mobility can only be provided from within. This means providing opportunity to the folks. Giveaways only lead to dependency. The U.S. Government’s only mandate to its people should be clear and simple. Give people a fair chance at success. That doesn’t mean a guarantee of success, but a chance at it. This is what our government should provide. This should be our government’s only requirement to it’s people. Any attempt at providing social justice is doomed to failure because it fosters dependency.
Democrats have made giveaways a major part of their party platform. All giveaways do is shackle people and chain them to the government dole. The reason why genereation after generation stays on the government dole is because it is too easy to stay on this dole. This is the easy way out. Democrats “provide under” the guise of social justice. This is enslavement plain and simple. People will never break the chain of dependency under Deomcrat governance. we need a government that doesn’t only provide, but gets out of the way and allows for the individual to achieve success based on his own abilities.
