A starter interrupt device is a mechanism used by some buy here pay here dealers
in the United States and Canada. The purpose of this device is to ensure the
customer pay his or her payment on time. If the customer decides not to adhere
to the contract with the buy here pay here dealer then the dealer can activate
the starter interupt device thus shutting off your vehicle.
Why do dealers use a starter interrupt device?

In a case like this you would have to contact the car dealer, make your payment
and then they would deactivate the starter interupt device.
