Credit Car Loan Help
Here, we'll take the worry out of getting a car loan in Massachusetts,
even if you have bad credit.
No matter where you are, getting approved for auto loans can be
a challenge. Each state has been touched by the economy in different
ways, so lenders in, say Nevada, might be more stringent in their
approval process than they would be in Alaska depending on how
hard-nosed they need to be.
Massachusetts and its popular cities like Boston, Cape Cod, Seekonk,
Worcester, Springfield, etc. have been hit by the economic downturn
too. But thankfully, not so hard that you can't find car dealers
and lenders that will approve you for auto loans, even with a
low credit score.
Even with poor credit, getting approved for auto loans on a new
car or a used car is still possible. A trade in car can also be
taken in consideration as part of the deal, even with bad credit.
You just have to be prepared for what to expect.
If you have bad or poor credit, your interest rate on an auto
loan might be higher than for someone with a better credit score.
You may have to look into guaranteed loans, where some degree
of collateral is used in case you default.
You might have questions, like "Where can I get a guaranteed
loan with a lowered interest rate?" Or "Where can I
get an unsecured loan instead of a secured one?"
Throughout this site, we'll answer some of those questions, along
with many others that we help you save time and frustration when
looking for a good deal. And in this case, a good deal means an
automobile loan with acceptable terms.
There are a few basic things that you can do to help minimize
the impact of a low credit score. For starters, try to get back
on the right credit track as soon as possible. That means paying
your bills on time, and making your credit card minimum payments
regularly. If you can do that for a six month stretch, it'll go
a long way to helping you get approved for that automobile loan.
Start now - the sooner the better.
Also, consider getting a secured credit card, one in which a prepaid
deposit serves as your credit limit. Then, try not to use that
card, since - as secured credit cards go - it'll be bound to have
a high interest rate. Again, try not to use the card much but
do pay off your monthly minimums. Do this for five or six months,
and in no time, you'll notice that you credit score will improves
greatly.
Follow the above basic steps to repair your credit; then, you'll
find that your bad credit is quickly becoming a non-issue. Nothing
feels better than witnessing your poor credit turning into good
credit in a few short months of diligent care. And the added benefit
is that, as your credit score fluctuates in a positive direction,
you'll find that getting a car loan in Massachusetts with favorable
terms isn't nearly as challenging as one might expect.
