Credit Car Loan Help
Start spreading the news. If you need a car, have internet access,
are over 18 years of age and have poor credit, or even no credit,
you may qualify to apply for bad credit New York car loans.
Online, you'll be able to find lots of spots in NY that can help
you get in a car. Each lender is different and has varying qualifying
criteria, so always make sure to ask the right questions.
Essentially though, you should be able to find an auto online
institution that will lend you funds to get in that car.
The process for applying for a bad credit loan for a car is pretty
straightforward. Once you find an online lender that you'd like
to apply at, you'll fill out an online application. The application
will ask for your personal information, such as your address,
including city and state. This is largely due to the fact that
once your application goes through; the lender needs to scour
its database of subprime lenders that will work with you, based
on the state and city in which you reside. For example, some online
lenders won't lend out to residents in New York.
However, many will.
So, if you live in Queens, make sure to indicate that. Buffalo
residents, do the same.
Also, when applying, know that the smaller the loan amount requested,
the better your chances of getting approved. Sure, it'll be great
to get in a new car, but if you have particularly bad credit,
and want to get in a car fast, consider getting an auto loan for
a used car instead. In major areas in and around New York city
(Rochester, Brooklyn, Albany, Ithaca, New Rochelle, Syracuse,
Binghamton, Niagara Falls, etc), you'll find many buy here pay
here dealers where you can find quality used vehicles.
At a brick and mortar used car lot, just go directly to the finance
/ refinancing department and let them know your needs. If you
already know that you have no credit (many students don't, by
the way), tell them that right off the bat, so they won't run
your credit needlessly. If you have poor credit, tell them that
too. Know that whenever a lender checks your credit report, points
are usually taken off. Also, repeated inquiries across a short
amount of time never looks good on your credit report, so do all
that you can in limiting those inquiries. Ask prospective lenders
if they'll work with you based on having poor credit, and see
if they'll process your application without inquiry.
Here are some things that you can do to better your chances of
getting approved for a bad credit car loan. Making a down payment
will help, for starters.
Having some sort of credit history will also help. If you have
no credit before you apply for a bad credit car loan, consider
applying for a secured credit card. They're easy to get approved
for, and once you have one, you can begin making monthly minimum
payments to beef up your credit. After three to six months of
making steady minimums, you'll have something to show the lenders
that they'll definitely take in consideration when reviewing your
